Week 4 and 5

Hi Everyone,

This week has certainly been crazy busy with ERO in the school. I just wanted to keep you in the loop of the happenings in Room 3 for the rest of this week (week 4) and next week (week 5), just for your information.

On Wednesday Tracy Stanley-Hunt will be in the class from 1pm-2:45pm as I will be meeting with you and discussing your children's learning goals this year.

On Thursday is my BT release day, so I will be in the school, but out of class.

On Friday I am at AUT for a meeting with lecturers and attending a Masters academic day course so I am informed about the requirements this year.

During week 5, I am attending a literacy learning intervention course on Monday, Tuesday I will be at a Beginning Teacher course, Wednesday is one of the days I have to attend university (one of the 4 times this will happen over 2 terms), Thursday I am in class (Yay!!!) and Friday I will be at school but out of class setting up the school's radio station.

So a very busy week! However, the classroom's program will function as normal.

I also want to use this opportunity to let you know that your children have all worked really hard these last couple of weeks and are producing some fantastic work! They are really starting to settle in to school!

Parent Help

Thank you to all those parent helpers slips that have come back.
I will put up the timetable this week for you to have a look at for us to start in Week 4.

House t-shirts

When there is a house assembly, children are allowed to wear their house t-shirts to school for the day.

The children know what house they are in and these can be purchased from the uniform shop at the school, I think they are about $15. Please note that it has been decided that children may not come to school with shirts from home that are in their house colour as we had too many children turning up in mufti gear for the day. Children can wear their house t-shirt with their school uniform underneath.

I will notify you when the house assemblies are for the term, so that you know in advance when children can wear their house t-shirts.

Goal setting interviews

Hi Everyone,

Just letting you know that goal setting interviews will be held in week 4.
Room 3 is having their goal setting interviews from 1pm-6pm on Wednesday the 26th of February.

Please do make a time. These interviews are 10 minutes long where we go through their reading, writing and mathematics goals.
